Overview

PowerCortex is a browser extension that helps you save, organize, and search AI responses from ChatGPT and Claude. This policy explains what data is handled by the extension and how.

The short version: everything stays on your device. PowerCortex has no servers, no accounts, and transmits nothing to anyone.

What data PowerCortex handles

Website content

When you explicitly click the Save button on an AI response, PowerCortex captures the text and images of that response and stores it locally on your device. No content is captured automatically or without your action.

User activity

PowerCortex stores the folders you create, the organization structure you build, and your UI preferences (such as which folder is open). This is saved locally so your setup persists between sessions.

How data is stored

All data is stored exclusively on your device using the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local and IndexedDB APIs. This includes:

• Saved AI responses (text and images)
• Folder and organization structure
• Notes and edits you make to saved responses
• UI preferences and state

Nothing is uploaded, synced, or transmitted to any external server or third party.
